Well it’s been a strange few months across the world. Life as we knew it has, perhaps, changed forever. By mid-March we had taken the decision to stop our sessions but it was important for us, in the midst of all this uncertainty, to find ways to continue to provide a space for our participants to meet, support each other, have a laugh and be creative. On the 25th and 26th of March we held our first online sessions with our Young Company and Ensemble - and it was brilliant! As we all took our first tentative steps into the digital unknown, we knew that making the time for us all to connect was still essential and a much needed time-out of what was happening around us.
Now we are five weeks in and are still discovering what games work online and what ones really don’t! We are collectively creating new exercises, adapting some well-loved games, checking-in, stretching to Beyonce, and finding ways that together, we can stay creative. We don’t yet know the destination, but for the moment the journey is taking us to places we never would have explored.
